New Stuff...

Just spent the morning posting lots of new stuff on my Etsy site. I'm not even finished, and I'm pretty excited that this is the most I've ever had on there. Just in time for Christmas shopping right?? Keep checking back because I still have all of my acrylic jewelry, and Scrabble tile rings to add. Hope to get them on there before the weekend is over. Time to wake the sleeping baby so we can go to the Pumpkin Patch. Isn't fall lovely? Have a great day y'all.

Fall Flair

Fall Flair was a partial success. It was going really well, and would have continued to do so if it wasn't for the rainstorm that blew through Central Texas. The bands were canceled that night and everything, but while we were there it was great! Perfect location, lots of traffic, a wonderful group of brilliant, creative chicas, and the Pumpkin Patch chai latte from Common Grounds. Doesn't get much better. I'm hoping to plan another show in the spring, but this one wore me out. I need a little time to recover. Here are some pictures!

Sooo, the Etsy shop is FINALLY off vacation mode. i decided it was time. It may take me a while to get things up and running, but I am trying....seriously trying. I started this morning by adding some simple little bobby pins I've been working on. There's more to come. I've got goals people!!

A Good Read

I found this great book (Craft Inc.) during a trip to Barnes & Noble yesterday. I really think I could spend a disgusting amount of money in a book store. Anyway, I just skimmed through it last night and it has some great tips for going in to the craft business full time. It's also got several interviews with artists about how they got started. Of course this is a dream of mine, but it is so scary! I honestly don't know if I'll ever follow through. Part of me says, "Why the heck not?!" and another part of me says, "Umm seriously you can't even get your Etsy site off of vacation mode Kristi." The latter kind of upsets me and I want to punch it in the face, but I do have a family and I have to have some sense of reality here. Nonetheless, the book is insightful, encouraging, and very informative concerning all the financial and legal mumbo jumbo. Pick it up if you get the urge!

Stalking some new blogs...

I found 4 newEtsians that I adore. (One I have known since she was a wee lass) I love being inspired by new ideas, and it gives me a fuzzy feeling to see how others create. How lame am I??!! Anyway, here are links to their blogs, and a few pictures to enjoy as well!

Adorable pea coat from Oh Dear Things

It's a journal necklace from Found and Made! Who woulda thunk?!

I think Scrabble tiles (from Sugar Panda) are neato...especially when they have awesome photography on them.

Necklace from Flying Trapeze (cute shop name and these necklaces are made from old tins for crying out loud!)
